POPULAR local actress Fasha Sandha has been receiving brickbats from social media users for her portrayal of the antagonist Hanimsya in the drama Khilaf Asrama, Berita Harian reported.
“Even if I am unhappy with the character, I am just doing what the script requires of me.
“If people are angry with Hanimsya, it shows that I have succeeded in portraying the character, never mind that I am the subject of insults every day,” she said.
Fasha, 38, said she was grateful to the viewers and hoped they would look at it positively and learn from it.
She added that the drama aired on TV3 did not reflect who she was.
The series, produced by Radius One and directed by Uchee Fukada, also stars Nelydia Senrose, Fattah Amin and Fahrin Ahmad.

Mohd Rozaimi Johari, 28, said following budget cuts, he no longer received the RM2,000 monthly allowance.
He and a friend from the village have been selling the snack and drinks at Air Kuning Selatan in Gemencheh, Negri Sembilan, for two months.
