PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 3,037 new Covid-19 infections on Friday (Nov 18), says the Health Ministry.
The Health Ministry said through data released on its KKMNow portal on Saturday (Nov 19) that this brings the new total to 4,963,216 cases since the pandemic began.
Of the 3,037, three are imported cases while 3,034 are local.
The ministry also said through its KKMNow portal that there were 3,198 recoveries on Friday, bringing the total number of active cases in Malaysia to 27,711.
Of the active cases, 92.9% or 25,737 individuals are undergoing home quarantine, while 6.7% of active cases or 1,868 individuals need to be hospitalised, with 106 warded in intensive care units (ICU) throughout the country.
Of that number, 53 require ventilator support.
