SINGER Gillian Chung melted the hearts of viewers after admitting that she had always wanted children but never had the opportunity, Sin Chew Daily reported.
The 40-year-old Hong Kong artiste, who spoke recently on the Chinese TV show Girls’ Spectacular Journey, said she yearned to have kids but her relationships did not often go as planned.
“It was either we did not get married, or we did get married but did not get (pregnant).
“(In short), it has never gone as planned,” she said.
It was earlier reported that when Chung was married to cosmetologist Dr Michael Lai, she deliberately put on weight in preparation to get pregnant.
“Even if no one was pressing me to give birth, my husband and I were already getting ready for me to get pregnant.
“Because of this, I gained more than 10kg. Everyone was very surprised to see me and asked if I was pregnant or if I was getting ready to get pregnant,” she said.
However, her marriage with Dr Lai was short-lived, lasting only 14 months.
When they were married from 2018 to 2020, Dr Lai was reportedly too busy with starting his own clinic in his native Taiwan that he did not get to spend enough time with Chung in Hong Kong.
> The daily also repored that a landlord in China’s Jiangsu province was shocked to find 100 bottles of urine left behind in one of his rental houses.
The landlord, whose surname was Zhang, made the discovery on Feb 17 when he visited the house after failing to contact his tenant.
Not only was the tenant’s room in a mess, Zhang was stunned to find more than 100 bottles filled with urine.
“When I opened the door, there was a strong stench. Not only was the house filled with takeaway containers, there were also dozens of bottles containing urine,” he said.
He added that they found around 50 bottles without caps and another 50 under the bed with bottle caps on.
Zhang said it took him along with two others more than five hours to clean the room, adding that he had never met such a tenant in his 10 years of being a landlord.
According to him, the tenant, a 20-year-old man, has never been late with his monthly payments and they never had an argument in the one year he rented the place.
Zhang said he would leave the room windows open to remove the stench and replace the existing bed with a new one before renting it out again.
